Manos Papaiakovou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionuț Oroveanu in the 12th minute of the match. If Panagiotis Bourousis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Silviu Stoian dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manos Papaiakovou, 1-0. In the 27th minute, Rovine Craiova's Silviu Stoian dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Manos Papaiakovou was a little too slow when Silviu Stoian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Panagiotis Bourousis during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 4-1 became the score in the 43rd minute when Silviu Stoian elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Rovine Craiova's goalkeeper Flavius Popoacă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manos Christodoulou. Manos Papaiakovou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionuț Oroveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Panagiotis Beloukas hit a great ball. 5-1 became the score in the 56th minute when Silviu Stoian elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Manos Papaiakovou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silviu Stoian in the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Silviu Stoian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. Go Ahead Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silviu Stoian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Ionuț Oroveanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manos Papaiakovou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Stoian in the 69th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manos Papaiakovou came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rovine Craiova's Ionuț Oroveanu. But to his dismay, Ionuț Oroveanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. After 74 minutes, Christodoulos Vazakas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Go Ahead Eagles and the Rovine Craiova players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christodoulos Vazakas kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Panagiotis Beloukas got a free kick in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Oroveanu in the 78th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Ionică Drâmba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manos Papaiakovou showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Rovine Craiova's Iordache Andone got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 94th minute Silviu Stoian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Papaiakovou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionică Drâmba kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Rovine Craiova's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
