When Balázs Szepesvári fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szittyák SE rege's protests and gave Balázs Szepesvári a yellow card for diving instead. Santos Confesor's late challenge caught a Szittyák SE rege's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santos Confesor helped the player get up and apologised. Santos Confesor hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Szittyák SE rege's Endre Zentay got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Santos Confesor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Mátyás Vadas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Szittyák SE rege getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rafael Sarkady hit a great ball. When Santos Confesor came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the San Fernando Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Confesor couldn't finish the play. Miklós Bökönyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Etxeberri having to interfere. If Miklós Bökönyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santos Confesor kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Balázs Szepesvári stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
