Spectators: 7669 (Terracing: 5752, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Albert Christensen kicked off to start the match. Roger Platt kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Ralf Hudson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Peru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yalapa's goalkeeper Constantino Elija, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Constantino Elija made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barry Poynton in the 18th minute. In the 45th play minute Roger Platt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Constantino Elija. 1-0.

The supporters of Ampthill FC booed when Yalapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Nicholas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Yalapa's goal looked a bit too open when Barry Poynton came free, but Constantino Elija reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Roger Platt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Constantino Elija was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 64 minutes into the match, Yalapa's goal looked a bit too open when Barry Poynton came free, but Constantino Elija reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Roger Platt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Elija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Yalapa's Andres Peru ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ralf Hudson. Ralf Hudson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 75th match minute, Yalapa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Eneto to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roger Platt during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Roger Platt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 90 minutes, Luisito Atauri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yalapa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisito Atauri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralf Hudson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Peru in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yalapa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ampthill FC.
