Reinard Van Cleijnenbreughel's late challenge caught a Brufoss IL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reinard Van Cleijnenbreughel helped the player get up and apologised. Robbin Panhuyse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasper Munkvold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludvig Lunden in the 20th minute of play forced Fox Hunting Squad's goalkeeper Robbin Panhuyse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasper Munkvold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorg Vrijdags in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Molland saved Brufoss IL from getting behind. Jacque Balckmans charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacque Balckmans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Jacque Balckmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Fox Hunting Squad defense, Kasper Munkvold kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robbin Panhuyse. The Fox Hunting Squad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robbin Panhuyse should have stopped the shot. After having played for 40 minutes, Ludvig Lunden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brufoss IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludvig Lunden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jorg Vrijdags had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Brufoss IL's zone, Tibau Leemans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Molland came out of the goal and Tibau Leemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kasper Munkvold was the one to do the kick off. If Ludvig Lunden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rune Skorstad's late challenge caught a Fox Hunting Squad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rune Skorstad helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as Ludvig Lunden kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robbin Panhuyse. That made the score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. Brufoss IL's Ludvig Lunden suffered a sore thigh after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Quillian Lambrecht during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kasper Munkvold's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Robbin Panhuyse firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Alex Maenhout fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fox Hunting Squad's protests and gave Alex Maenhout a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Alex Maenhout hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Fox Hunting Squad supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brufoss IL's performance. The match ended with a win for Brufoss IL.
