The crowd rose to their feet as Coventry Wasps's Lucas Bridgewater slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donato Paublo. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Greg Corcoran charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Greg Corcoran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Semeno in the 8th minute of play forced Coventry Wasps's goalkeeper Dylan Bartlett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fabio Semeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ronnie Blakeley's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Donato Paublo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Coventry Wasps were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Tello AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Greg Corcoran took the corner. In the 20th minute, Lucio Foro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dylan Bartlett was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Dylan Bartlett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Berto in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Tello AFC booed when Coventry Wasps was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Oddy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Donato Paublo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 35th minute, Kris Oddy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tello AFC's Donato Paublo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Corcoran in the 39th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Kevin Pilgrim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coventry Wasps and the Tello AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tello AFC booed when Coventry Wasps was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Pilgrim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Semeno hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justino Kismi in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dylan Bartlett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fabio Semeno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donato Paublo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronnie Blakeley, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Romeo Porfiro charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Porfiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Coventry Wasps's Dylan Bartlett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Foro in the 67th minute of play. A hard shot 70 in the game by Justino Kismi from a close distance when the talented Dylan Bartlett managed to make a qualified save. Coventry Wasps's players were relieved. In the 75th minute, Lucas Bridgewater hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Coventry Wasps made a substitution. Vernon Myers replaced Kris Oddy. After 76 played minutes Coventry Wasps got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Bridgewater. In the 77th minute of the match, Fabio Semeno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dylan Bartlett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Justino Kismi charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justino Kismi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Coventry Wasps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Greg Corcoran to maneuver through the defense. The Coventry Wasps manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Tello AFC to win.
