In the 19th minute Joseph Cane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Clube Patrício's Viriato Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Cane in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Here Comes the Hammer's Sverker Mellbad got control of the ball when Claudemiro Gomes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube Patrício's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Norström came free, but Viriato Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Fritz Vedholm notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sporting Clube Patrício's Viriato Leal. Viriato Leal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joseph Cane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Viriato Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Here Comes the Hammer were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egídio Trindade was the one to do the kick off. Roy Hellkvist hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Sporting Clube Patrício's Egídio Trindade got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egídio Trindade scored 1-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sverker Mellbad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Madeira in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sverker Mellbad saved Here Comes the Hammer from getting behind. Sverker Mellbad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudemiro Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Roy Hellkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sverker Mellbad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Madeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Claudemiro Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Mellbad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sverker Mellbad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Trindade in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Cristiano Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Here Comes the Hammer's Leo Norström suffered a sore thigh after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 83rd minute of the match Juliano Simões completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Juliano Simões a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Here Comes the Hammer's Leonardo Åkesson was substituted for Leo Norström. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube Patrício's Juliano Simões got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute, Claudemiro Gomes made a precise shot to the right of Sverker Mellbad. Here Comes the Hammer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 93rd minute of the match, Leonardo Åkesson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Viriato Leal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 96 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube Patrício's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Åkesson came free, but Viriato Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
