Sverker Mellbad came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Pegasas Siauliai's Valentas Daunoras. But to his dismay, Valentas Daunoras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 26th minute, Darijus Baltrūnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Norström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Audrius Dūdėnas made a huge save. Sverker Mellbad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marius Kieža, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute FC Pegasas Siauliai were awarded a corner. Klemensas Rožėnas went to the cornerflag to take it. Pranas Jacinaitis got his second yellow card in the match during the 33rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Pranas Jacinaitis kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Kieža in the 41st minute of play forced Here Comes the Hammer's goalkeeper Sverker Mellbad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eigirdas Liubinskas hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalkeeper Audrius Dūdėnas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Here Comes the Hammer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Norström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Fritz Vedholm notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Pegasas Siauliai's Audrius Dūdėnas. Audrius Dūdėnas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joseph Cane scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Audrius Dūdėnas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marius Kieža struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Sverker Mellbad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pegasas Siauliai. FC Pegasas Siauliai's Audrius Dūdėnas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Vedholm in the 72nd minute of play.
