Odón Mackenzie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Clis went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Celestino Domenec got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes, Inter de Chillán's Justo Tirapegui shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Virgilio Macerio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inter de Chillán reached it. A collision led to Inter de Chillán getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Belmiro Traverso hit a great ball. The supporters of Resurrección Diabólica Ψ booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Gillan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipolito Cidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odón Mackenzie having to interfere. Inter de Chillán's Odón Mackenzie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Cidro in the 17th minute of play. Belmiro Traverso charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belmiro Traverso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Resurrección Diabólica Ψ fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Hipolito Cidro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 28 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Ian Gillan. 29 minutes into the game, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Hipolito Cidro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Odón Mackenzie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Lucas Clis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Louis came free, but Odón Mackenzie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Lucas Clis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter de Chillán's Odón Mackenzie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Odón Mackenzie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Cidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Odón Mackenzie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hipolito Cidro's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Louis came free, but Odón Mackenzie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hipolito Cidro made a kick off. After 57 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Bairon Bernales. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eriberto Rast during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
