In the 14th minute Adam Aquilina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Macerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes, Albino Rios mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Resurrección Diabólica Ψ and the Templars FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Rios to maneuver through the defense. Mark Borg Xuereb kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 20thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's keeper Virgilio Macerio was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Adam Aquilina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Virgilio Macerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mark Cuschieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Macerio having to interfere. After some careless play in the Resurrección Diabólica Ψ defense, Peppino Azzopardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Macerio. The Resurrección Diabólica Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Macerio should have stopped the shot. Virgilio Macerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Degiorgio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Lucas Clis in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Templars FC's goalie prevented a goal. Dylan Pizzuto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Clis, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Mark Borg Xuereb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Virgilio Macerio made a huge save. In the 39th minute of the match, Mark Borg Xuereb got a very nice opportunity to score, but Virgilio Macerio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luigi Abela Medici charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luigi Abela Medici the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adam Aquilina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mark Cuschieri came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Templars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Cuschieri couldn't finish the play. Mark Borg Xuereb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Virgilio Macerio made a huge save. The supporters of Templars FC booed when Resurrección Diabólica Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Domenec didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mark Borg Xuereb to strike the kick off in the second half. When Reynaldo Llorenc fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's protests and gave Reynaldo Llorenc a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Resurrección Diabólica Ψ getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Reynaldo Llorenc hit a great ball. Peppino Azzopardi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 minutes Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mark Cuschieri who took care of the corner kick. Hipolito Cidro kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Peppino Azzopardi kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Virgilio Macerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peppino Azzopardi in the 62nd minute of play. When Adam Aquilina fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The Resurrección Diabólica Ψ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 82nd minute, Adam Aquilina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
