Noel Cesare hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Templars FC booed when Söderbröder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvin Wennerqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Linus Hjortsberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Söderbröder's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Templars FC the free kick. Söderbröder's Patrik Svartengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Cuschieri in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Söderbröder's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Cesare came free, but Patrik Svartengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peppino Azzopardi got free with Patrik Svartengren in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Söderbröder getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Vilhelm Samuelsson hit a great ball. Michael Meilak was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Henrik Apelkvist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dylan Pizzuto came out and tried to block the shot, but Henrik Apelkvist slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 53rd minute. Dylan Pizzuto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Apelkvist in the 57th minute of the match. Patrik Svartengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Degiorgio, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Peppino Azzopardi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isac Vase in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dylan Pizzuto saved Templars FC from getting behind.
