The supporters of Yala booed when Holmkjar Hotspurs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halfdan Wøldike didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Holmkjar Hotspurs's zone, Luisito Birjaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksander Thalbitzer came out of the goal and Luisito Birjaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Cristobal Aurken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aleksander Thalbitzer was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 33rd minute Herminio Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksander Thalbitzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes, Vilfred Bornkessel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holmkjar Hotspurs and the Yala players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Vilfred Bornkessel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristobal Aurken in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aleksander Thalbitzer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45thth minute of the game Cristobal Aurken who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holmkjar Hotspurs's Aleksander Thalbitzer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aleksander Thalbitzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Aurken, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olfert Lodian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Casper Emerek's late challenge caught a Yala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. One of Holmkjar Hotspurs:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yala:s goal. When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, Yala's Herminio Richie got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aleksander Thalbitzer. Feliberto Joey's late challenge caught a Holmkjar Hotspurs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliberto Joey helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Joey. Valentin Eguntsenti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmkjar Hotspurs. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Holmkjar Hotspurs's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
