Spectators: 7687 (Terracing: 5766, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Aldaír Veiga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Quintino Quinaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MZ Fénix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yala the free kick. A collision led to MZ Fénix getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Quintino Quinaz hit a great ball. After having played for 4 minutes, Feliberto Joey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Joey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Eusébio Freire got a free kick in the 5th minute. Martinho Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Aurken in the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by MZ Fénix's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Herminio Richie was slow to take the kick. During this time Yala's players had a chance to rest. Luisito Birjaio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to MZ Fénix getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Aldaír Veiga hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes MZ Fénix got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Gameiro. In the 12th minute, Vítor Severiano made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Eguntsenti. Yala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Cristobal Aurken hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Aurken in the 20th minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Martinho Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to MZ Fénix getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Aldaír Veiga hit a great ball. With a little luck, MZ Fénix's Martinho Nunes got control of the ball when Feliberto Joey tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner ended in Herminio Richie almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MZ Fénix's Martinho Nunes did a great save. Afonso Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Valentin Eguntsenti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yala's Valentin Eguntsenti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Severiano in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yala's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maurício Mansilha was slow to take the kick. During this time MZ Fénix's players had a chance to rest. The corner led MZ Fénix's Aldaír Veiga to fire away a dangerous shot which Valentin Eguntsenti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aldaír Veiga took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Eguntsenti. Valentin Eguntsenti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristobal Aurken stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Aurken. The audience was convinced that Aldaír Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Eguntsenti was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Yala's Luisito Birjaio got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Yala fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Yala's Cristobal Aurken looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aldaír Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Valentin Eguntsenti came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by MZ Fénix's Vítor Severiano. But to his dismay, Vítor Severiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Valentin Eguntsenti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldaír Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angélico Vaz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 89 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Angélico Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martinho Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Birjaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The MZ Fénix supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MZ Fénix would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
