The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valério Ramos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Ruy came free, but Valério Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marciano Timo to make the kick off.
