Spectators: 7706 (Terracing: 5781, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristobal Aurken kicked off to start the match. The supporters of MZ Fénix booed when Yala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Richie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Aldaír Veiga lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Valentin Eguntsenti. Martinho Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Joey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Herminio Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Evis in the 23rd minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Martinho Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martinho Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Evis in the 24th minute of the match. MZ Fénix were furious when Manuel Loureiro was red carded, 28 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 27th minute, one of MZ Fénix:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MZ Fénix. After 30 minutes of play, Yala's Herminio Richie made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martinho Nunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martinho Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Aurken in the 33rd minute of the match. Cristobal Aurken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martinho Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Aurken in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, MZ Fénix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angélico Vaz to maneuver through the defense. After 46 minutes, Aldaír Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MZ Fénix and the Yala players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aldaír Veiga hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Sebastian Evis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aldaír Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliberto Joey's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Martinho Nunes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sebastian Evis kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th minute Aldaír Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Eguntsenti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yala's Valentin Eguntsenti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldaír Veiga in the 71st minute of play. Apolo Sarracino hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes MZ Fénix got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Medeiros. After a defensive mix-up in MZ Fénix's zone, Herminio Richie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinho Nunes came out of the goal and Herminio Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Afonso Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MZ Fénix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
