In the 3rd minute Cazimir Zăraşcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Mannie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teo Arce hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Dacian Jumancă hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Iban came free, but Sergiu Angheluță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Maquina 9-12-18's Nunez Mannie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Năsturel in the 11th minute of play. With a little luck, La Maquina 9-12-18's Nunez Mannie got control of the ball when George Vâlcu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Champions Iasi's Eduard Ghișe got a free kick in the 19th minute. Timoteo Tomi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nunez Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dacian Jumancă in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, La Maquina 9-12-18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Frasco to maneuver through the defense. Sergiu Angheluță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Frasco in the 32nd minute of play. La Maquina 9-12-18's Nunez Mannie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cazimir Zăraşcu in the 34th minute of play. Victorino Iban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Champions Iasi's Sergiu Angheluță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Iban in the 41st minute of play. When Lucio Viator fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Maquina 9-12-18's protests and gave Lucio Viator a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 minutes, Dacian Jumancă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Champions Iasi and the La Maquina 9-12-18 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dacian Jumancă hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Champions Iasi's Dacian Jumancă got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cazimir Zăraşcu to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Champions Iasi booed when La Maquina 9-12-18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Viator didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Sorin Năsturel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Mannie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niculae Măgureanu hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute of the match, Timoteo Tomi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sergiu Angheluță was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 78th play minutes Baldomero Frasco shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Sergiu Angheluță and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Zăraşcu in the 83rd minute of play forced La Maquina 9-12-18's goalkeeper Nunez Mannie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Cazimir Zăraşcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Mannie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the La Maquina 9-12-18 defense, Cazimir Zăraşcu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nunez Mannie. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nunez Mannie should have stopped the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
