Bo Jernberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamar Burton, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Rusty Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Sjö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes, Jamar Maxwell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos FC and the Samba Fotboll U21 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Santos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Samba Fotboll U21:s goal. The referee gave Samba Fotboll U21 a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dan Eliasson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Santos FC's Rusty Little. 1-0. Bo Jernberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamar Burton in the 22nd minute of the match. Bo Jernberg came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Santos FC's Pedro Finn. But to his dismay, Pedro Finn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of Samba Fotboll U21 booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darrell Nava didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Per Kock fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samba Fotboll U21's protests and gave Per Kock a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Samba Fotboll U21 got a freekick which was hit by Per Kock. Pedro Finn's late challenge caught a Samba Fotboll U21's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Finn helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Finn kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Samba Fotboll U21's Bo Jernberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Finn in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Finn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uno Åberg in the 85th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Rusty Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jamar Burton kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Samba Fotboll U21 booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamar Burton didn't get a good kick on the ball.
