In the 16th minute Pedro Finn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Costantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, io.dasola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulvio Di Florio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.P. Delarosa in the 22nd minute of play forced io.dasola's goalkeeper Ennio Costantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Jamar Burton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ennio Costantini. io.dasola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jamar Burton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ennio Costantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Finn's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Finn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ennio Costantini stood somewhat misplaced when Pedro Finn came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 51 minute. 62 minutes into the match, io.dasola's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Finn came free, but Ennio Costantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Santos FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than io.dasola throughout the match.
