The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frans Utfal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gusztáv Jászberényi having to interfere. Bo Jernberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dénes Boross in the 8th minute of the match. Bo Jernberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dénes Boross went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Per Kock kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Samba Fotboll U21 booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gusztáv Győrffy didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Dan Eliasson in the 20th minute of play was well struck, but Gusztáv Jászberényi made a really good save at the right post. Bo Jernberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dénes Boross went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Máté Medve kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Dan Eliasson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samba Fotboll U21 and the Szombathely Squirrels players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Szombathely Squirrels booed when Samba Fotboll U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per Kock hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Dénes Boross shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bo Jernberg came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Szombathely Squirrels's Dénes Boross. But to his dismay, Dénes Boross quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 43rd minute of the match, Gösta Sjö tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gusztáv Jászberényi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Szombathely Squirrels's Szilárd Csikós got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Frans Utfal made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Szilárd Csikós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bo Jernberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Gösta Sjö recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zsolt Vörös might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bo Jernberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zsolt Vörös ran back to his position shaking his head. Bo Jernberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szilárd Csikós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uno Åberg in the 67th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Gusztáv Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71stth minute of the game Dénes Boross who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samba Fotboll U21's Bo Jernberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gusztáv Jászberényi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Sjö in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dénes Boross in the 76th minute of play forced Samba Fotboll U21's goalkeeper Bo Jernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dénes Boross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dénes Boross received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bo Jernberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Dénes Boross slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 81st minute. Bo Jernberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dénes Boross, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, Szilárd Csikós recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bo Jernberg. Szilárd Csikós showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. When Zsolt Vörös fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szombathely Squirrels's protests and gave Zsolt Vörös a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by Zsolt Vörös. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Szombathely Squirrels had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
