Cirilo Rik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antal Budai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Rafe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Eulalio Rafe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antal Budai was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's János Major got a free kick in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeo Emenon in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antal Budai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 26 played minutes RED DEVIL got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Mede. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihály Földesi got free with Severino Barto in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute, Eulalio Rafe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RED DEVIL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The supporters of RED DEVIL booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gusztáv Győrffy didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Emiliano Jatsu fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RED DEVIL's protests and gave Emiliano Jatsu a yellow card for diving instead. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Mihály Földesi sped through RED DEVIL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Severino Barto. Zsolt Vörös fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Barto having to interfere. In the 41st minute Mihály Földesi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Barto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lajos Jakó kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by János Major to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeo Emenon to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Dénes Boross hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match it was 1-4 when Lucas Aureo shot a long shot which zipped by Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper at the right pole. Antal Budai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Jatsu in the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihály Földesi in the 73rd minute of play forced RED DEVIL's goalkeeper Severino Barto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to RED DEVIL getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Hernan Mede hit a great ball. Hernan Mede hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 82 minutes of play, Szombathely Squirrels's Mihály Földesi made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Barto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, Zsolt Vörös got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 minutes of play, Szombathely Squirrels's Zsolt Vörös made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Barto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emiliano Jatsu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Antal Budai made a huge save. In the 94th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szilárd Csikós to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over RED DEVIL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Szombathely Squirrels throughout the match.
