After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Sherwood Franks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sherwood Franks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artem Rossohin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 5 minutes on the clock, Jamar Maxwell commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Jamar Maxwell hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. If Oleg Ganzha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nikolay Sergeev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rusty Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veniamin Gerasimov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Hyde hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, J.P. Delarosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but J.P. Delarosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artem Rossohin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rusty Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matvey Zubenko in the 22nd minute of play. Nikolay Sergeev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikolay Sergeev in the 29th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Rusty Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arseniy Kartashevskiy took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rusty Little. Rusty Little dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 37th minute Arseniy Kartashevskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rusty Little saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Veniamin Gerasimov fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unica FC's protests and gave Veniamin Gerasimov a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Unica FC got a freekick which was hit by Veniamin Gerasimov. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arseniy Kartashevskiy in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rusty Little prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Unica FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arseniy Kartashevskiy was the one to do the kick off. Rusty Little made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Veniamin Gerasimov sent off a good shot on target. The referee showed Leon Burr the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leon Burr hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikolay Sergeev in the 79th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Rusty Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arseniy Kartashevskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rusty Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Boris Kulagin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Milton Heath got a free kick in the 86th minute. The supporters of Unica FC booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darrell Nava didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rusty Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Kulagin in the 89th minute of the match. Unica FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
