Algot Kvick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Lite Finare Lite Bättre's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Souza came free, but Algot Kvick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Inácio Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Ove Hökkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lite Finare Lite Bättre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ove Hökkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Inácio Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Ivan Rudqvist got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Arne Ek came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Lite Finare Lite Bättre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Ek couldn't finish the play. Futebol Dos Parça's José Maria Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Futebol Dos Parça from getting a goal against them. In the 64th minute, Clemente Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Maria Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Hökkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Futebol Dos Parça's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lite Finare Lite Bättre the free kick. Futebol Dos Parça's José Maria Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Futebol Dos Parça from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lite Finare Lite Bättre eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
