Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Isaltino de Andrade took the kick off in the first half of the match. Kaká Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erubiel Laurentzi in the 6th minute of the match. Isaltino de Andrade's late challenge caught a Club Almirante Brown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaltino de Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Inter de São Paulo got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino de Andrade. If Erubiel Laurentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Eliseo Nahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Martin Tancredo came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Club Almirante Brown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Tancredo couldn't finish the play. Denílson de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Leoncio having to interfere. During the 37th minute of the match Isaltino de Andrade completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Isaltino de Andrade a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 39th match minute, Inter de São Paulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Nahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Kaká Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Tancredo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erubiel Laurentzi to strike the kick off in the second half. Kaká Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erubiel Laurentzi in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Almirante Brown's zone, Denílson de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Leoncio came out of the goal and Denílson de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 55 played minutes Club Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Maidana. Club Almirante Brown made a substitution. Urbano Eguntsenti replaced Martin Tancredo. After 57 played minutes Club Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Maidana. Club Almirante Brown were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Inter de São Paulo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augusto Ilazki took the corner. The corner led to Club Almirante Brown's Enrique Porfirio getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Denílson de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Oscar Leoncio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaká Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Maidana in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Urbano Eguntsenti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaká Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Eguntsenti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Erubiel Laurentzi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kaká Marquez. That made the score 1-1 in the 82 minute of play. Eliseo Nahia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kaká Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Kaká Marquez made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Eliseo Nahia sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes into the match, Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Kaká Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erubiel Laurentzi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Nahia in the 96th minute of play forced Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Kaká Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
