If Elder Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Romando Futebol Clube's Luiz Fernando Garcia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dirk-Jan Akkerman. Dirk-Jan Akkerman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Dráusio Varela hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 38 minutes of play, The Underdogs's Bjorn Veltman made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Hermes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chuck Wood struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Clemente Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Underdogs. After a rather tough play, Romando Futebol Clube's Francisco Zonta got a free kick in the 42nd minute. When Chuck Wood came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the The Underdogs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chuck Wood couldn't finish the play. Olof Oosting hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carsten van Wonderen during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Carsten van Wonderen got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute of the match Vladimir Alvarenga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dirk-Jan Akkerman skillfully saved the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elder Tróia to make the kick off. The supporters of Romando Futebol Clube booed when The Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjors Kolkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to The Underdogs getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Olof Oosting hit a great ball. Dirk-Jan Akkerman came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Romando Futebol Clube's Elder Tróia. But to his dismay, Elder Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 77 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Clemente Hermes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bjorn Veltman. In the 80th match minute, The Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjors Kolkman to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Ramiro Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carsten van Wonderen in the 84th minute of play. Chuck Wood kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Romando Futebol Clube's Clemente Hermes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Romando Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Francisco Zonta hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Clemente Hermes was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Carsten van Wonderen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carsten van Wonderen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5.
