If Sjors Kolkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of The Underdogs booed when Romando Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Clemente Hermes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Romando Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ramiro Brito hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Carsten van Wonderen managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Underdogs's supporters rose to their feet, but Carsten van Wonderen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Hermes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Hugo Ijsselhof got a free kick in the 30th minute. Romando Futebol Clube's Clemente Hermes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Romando Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carsten van Wonderen to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carsten van Wonderen in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Hermes saved Romando Futebol Clube from getting behind. After 56 played minutes Romando Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro Sabóia. Clemente Hermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sjors Kolkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjors Kolkman in the 60th minute of play forced Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Clemente Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Romando Futebol Clube's zone, Carsten van Wonderen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Hermes came out of the goal and Carsten van Wonderen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frits Velez kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Carsten van Wonderen made a precise shot to the right of Clemente Hermes. Romando Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 95th minute, Corné Knopper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
