CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Severino Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökay Özakıncı in the 9th minute of play. Arif Koyak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Severino Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Süreyya Kıvanç's late challenge caught a CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Süreyya Kıvanç helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Süreyya Kıvanç to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Asım Arif Yarkın managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's supporters rose to their feet, but Asım Arif Yarkın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Marcelinho Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Orhan Dalan got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 played minutes CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Ramalho. In the 41st minute of the match Orhan Dalan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Madureira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Süreyya Kıvanç hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th match minute, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asım Arif Yarkın to maneuver through the defense. After 45 minutes, Mazinho Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE and the Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Mazinho Peres got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 46 played minutes, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Ömer Rıza Zeyrek shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severino Madureira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ reached it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Brasil was the one to do the kick off. After 62 played minutes CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Alagoano. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Umut Ortun was substituted for Sedat Şems. The supporters of Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ booed when CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olgun Vehbi should have stopped the shot. Olgun Vehbi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Kağan Tunçöven got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Garip Tanfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Décio Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mazinho Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
