Spectators: 8142 (Terracing: 6107, Seating: 1873, VIP seats: 162) Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Apostol Gilev started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Miroslav Gúnev got a free kick in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Pryputnicki came free, but Evlogi Lukanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herbert Konopka hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Miroslaw Gejda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bocho Nikolchev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Ganchev in the 13th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa 【L】's goalkeeper Miroslaw Gejda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Walery Koczara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evlogi Lukanov, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Walery Koczara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Evlogi Lukanov. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Jakub Nakoneczny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Legia Warszawa 【L】's Miroslaw Gejda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostol Gilev in the 23rd minute of play. Walery Koczara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ivan Ganchev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslaw Gejda having to interfere. A collision led to Legia Warszawa 【L】 getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Konrad Dunajski hit a great ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Apostol Gilev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apostol Gilev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florian Pryputnicki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evlogi Lukanov having to make a save. Ivan Ganchev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Miroslaw Gejda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florian Pryputnicki made a kick off. After 50 played minutes Legia Warszawa 【L】 got a freekick which was hit by Lech Cwynar. Walery Koczara took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evlogi Lukanov. Evlogi Lukanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 56 minutes into the match, Lech Cwynar notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Evlogi Lukanov. Evlogi Lukanov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Evlogi Lukanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walery Koczara, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, Ivan Ganchev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Ganchev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Miroslaw Gejda made a huge save. If Lech Cwynar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5-1 became the score in the 84th minute when Florian Pryputnicki elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Lokomotiv Plovdiv booed when Legia Warszawa 【L】 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Konopka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walery Koczara took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evlogi Lukanov. Evlogi Lukanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. 96 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Ivan Ganchev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miroslaw Gejda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Legia Warszawa 【L】 had won after a very even match.
