When Dedê de Senna fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 27 de Mayo's protests and gave Dedê de Senna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Dedê de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raí Bertassi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emiliano Henry went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ruperto Eyague hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Emiliano Henry kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 27 de Mayo's Raí Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Henry in the 16th minute of play. Real Racing Club's Nacho Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Cardoso in the 17th minute of play. If Luciano da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raí Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erling Jering in the 21st minute of play. Ruperto Eyague received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Raí Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Real Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Lixandro. Carlos Eduardo Rossi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nacho Gonzalez. Real Racing Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Real Racing Club's Emiliano Henry got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ruperto Eyague sped through 27 de Mayo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raí Bertassi. In the 43rd minute, Ruperto Eyague made a precise shot to the right of Raí Bertassi. 27 de Mayo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

The wind increased when Dedê de Senna made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Cardoso in the 51st minute of play forced Real Racing Club's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Eyague came free, but Raí Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erling Jering in the 61st minute of play forced 27 de Mayo's goalkeeper Raí Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Real Racing Club's Erling Jering made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raí Bertassi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nacho Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê de Senna in the 64th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Rossi's late challenge caught a Real Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Eduardo Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Eduardo Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Raí Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Eyague, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hílton Cardoso in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Real Racing Club getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Nunez Larpe hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Nunez Larpe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raí Bertassi skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Ruperto Eyague managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Eyague was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The 27 de Mayo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Real Racing Club's performance. The match ended with a win for Real Racing Club.
