The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The attack was good, but when Joachim Hägglund in the 4th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some careless play in the Olympique Fribourg defense, Joachim Hägglund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chris Lang. The Olympique Fribourg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chris Lang should have stopped the shot. Olympique Fribourg's Chris Lang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Hägglund in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, Trixande Fåglar BK's Stefan Hultin made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chris Lang was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joachim Hägglund scored 3-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chris Lang, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hannes Forsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Trixande Fåglar BK's Stefan Hultin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chris Lang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Dan Rönn's late challenge caught a Olympique Fribourg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Rönn helped the player get up and apologised. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Alf Andberg put in a rough tackle. Arvid Jansson had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Uli Bieri's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Gladu to maneuver through the defense. Trixande Fåglar BK's Joachim Hägglund got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Olympique Fribourg's Chris Lang got control of the ball when Stefan Hultin tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Valentino Staldegger's late challenge caught a Trixande Fåglar BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentino Staldegger helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Olympique Fribourg! Chris Lang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Hultin, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Stefan Hultin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Chris Lang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Trixande Fåglar BK's Dan Rönn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chris Lang narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66thth minute of the game Stefan Hultin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympique Fribourg's Chris Lang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chris Lang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Hultin's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Stefan Hultin struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Chris Lang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trixande Fåglar BK. 76 minutes into the game, Trixande Fåglar BK's Dan Rönn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chris Lang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Peder Karlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trixande Fåglar BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Peder Karlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chris Lang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Josef Gladu hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Joar Mellbad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Rönn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Chris Lang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trixande Fåglar BK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
