The audience was convinced that Telo Pongó's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raí Bertassi was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. When Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the 27 de Mayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Barrio Norte FC's Telo Pongó dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Telo Pongó who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Raí Bertassi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 34 minutes of play Barrio Norte FC's Abel Espejo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Abel Espejo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Telo Pongó got free with Raí Bertassi in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the game, Adhemar Furlan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 27 de Mayo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrio Norte FC the free kick. In the 45th match minute, 27 de Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar Furlan to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dedê de Senna was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Babul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedê de Senna. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telo Pongó in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raí Bertassi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eufemio Carmona kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Raí Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telo Pongó in the 69th minute of the match. Telo Pongó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raí Bertassi having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telo Pongó in the 70th minute of play forced 27 de Mayo's goalkeeper Raí Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Telo Pongó made a precise shot to the right of Raí Bertassi. 27 de Mayo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gaspar Babul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telo Pongó in the 87th minute of play forced 27 de Mayo's goalkeeper Raí Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Clemente Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 27 de Mayo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrio Norte FC the free kick. Clemente Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telo Pongó in the 89th minute of play forced 27 de Mayo's goalkeeper Raí Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes 27 de Mayo got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Rossi. Raí Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telo Pongó, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Barrio Norte FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
