Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anastasio Esiquio started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Real Racing Club's zone, Abel Egoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nacho Gonzalez came out of the goal and Abel Egoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romulo Deunoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Abalos in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Victoriano Matro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nacho Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Egoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Real Racing Club's Nunez Larpe got a free kick in the 9th minute. Erling Jering blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romulo Deunoro having to make a save. When Froilan Cutberto fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arrecifes's protests and gave Froilan Cutberto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Froilan Cutberto got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Nunez Larpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nacho Gonzalez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Froilan Cutberto went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 24th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Edwardo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Real Racing Club booed when Arrecifes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Egoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romulo Deunoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erling Jering, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Romulo Deunoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erling Jering in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Victoriano Matro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arrecifes and the Real Racing Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eleuterio Abalos charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eleuterio Abalos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 39 minutes into the match, Real Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Egoitz came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacho Gonzalez was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Froilan Cutberto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Froilan Cutberto really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 48th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Loren to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel Egoitz was the one to do the kick off. Arrecifes made a substitution. Lisandro Geofredo replaced Raul Toro. After a defensive mix-up in Arrecifes's zone, Nunez Larpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romulo Deunoro came out of the goal and Nunez Larpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Matro to maneuver through the defense. Froilan Cutberto kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Real Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Henry to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Froilan Cutberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Racing Club's Anastasio Esiquio got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Generoso Firme came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Real Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generoso Firme couldn't finish the play. After having played for 86 minutes, Abel Egoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrecifes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Egoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, one of Real Racing Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Racing Club. In the 94th minute Froilan Cutberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Racing Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
