A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Telo Pongó succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 13th playminute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Egoitz during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 24 minutes into the game, Abel Espejo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrio Norte FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrecifes the free kick. In the 25th match minute, Barrio Norte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Espejo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telo Pongó in the 30th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Romulo Deunoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Abel Egoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Babul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Cutberto came free, but Gaspar Babul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Abel Egoitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaspar Babul was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Arrecifes were furious when Dalmacio Honrio was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 48th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Honrio to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Espejo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Barrio Norte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odón Gurruchaga to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Toro to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Telo Pongó came free, but Romulo Deunoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Raul Toro got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Barrio Norte FC's Moncho De la Sotta couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arrecifes. 65 minutes into the match, Telo Pongó had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romulo Deunoro. Arrecifes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Telo Pongó was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 71 minutes into the game, Abel Espejo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Romulo Deunoro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romulo Deunoro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Telo Pongó went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrio Norte FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anastasio Guzman was slow to take the kick. During this time Arrecifes's players had a chance to rest. Bernardo Abad was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 83rd minute, Telo Pongó left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barrio Norte FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Barrio Norte FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Arrecifes for a fine match.
