The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karolis Badauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Zăgănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 minutes of play, Buffalo Timişoara's Alexandru Zăgănescu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karolis Badauskas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Absoliut's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Poalelungi came free, but Karolis Badauskas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihai Poalelungi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karolis Badauskas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Absoliut booed when Buffalo Timişoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Zâncă didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alexandru Zăgănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Filipoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mihai Poalelungi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when Absoliut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Skirmantas Skrebys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karolis Badauskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Poalelungi in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Absoliut getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Artūras Miežys hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigitas Barasa in the 42nd minute of play forced Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper David Chițes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valeriu Paraschivescu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

David Chițes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modestas Merkelis in the 51st minute of play. David Chițes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marius Zybartas went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 57 minutes, Emil Filipoiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buffalo Timişoara and the Absoliut players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emil Filipoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58thth minute of the game Marius Zybartas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buffalo Timişoara's David Chițes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexandru Zăgănescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Karolis Badauskas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Andrei Zâncă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Emil Filipoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karolis Badauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihai Poalelungi, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's Mihai Poalelungi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karolis Badauskas narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
