Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. The supporters of Real Racing Club booed when 27 de Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Henry's late challenge caught a 27 de Mayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Henry helped the player get up and apologised. Meti Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Bertassi having to interfere. Nunez Larpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Hílton Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nacho Gonzalez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dedê de Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Real Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleuterio Abalos charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eleuterio Abalos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eleuterio Abalos hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Raí Bertassi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nunez Larpe went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score.
