In the 4th minute of the match Edgar Abegg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walter Gustavsson skillfully saved the ball. In the 4th minute, Björn Hellgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walter Gustavsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Hasenjäger in the 9th minute of play. Ladislaus Veith made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arne Abrahamsson in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tage Wennerlund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ladislaus Veith. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, VfL Bad Nenndorf's Joseph Hasenjäger made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walter Gustavsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Walter Gustavsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Eigler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, Joseph Hasenjäger made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Åsbro Flåsegutter's Walter Gustavsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. VfL Bad Nenndorf's Joseph Hasenjäger got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Åsbro Flåsegutter defense, Joseph Hasenjäger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walter Gustavsson. The Åsbro Flåsegutter fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walter Gustavsson should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joseph Hasenjäger to make the kick off. Walter Gustavsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Eigler in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Eigler in the 54th minute of play forced Åsbro Flåsegutter's goalkeeper Walter Gustavsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ante Ernesti hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the game, VfL Bad Nenndorf's Joseph Hasenjäger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walter Gustavsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. After 66 minutes, Patric Molander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsbro Flåsegutter and the VfL Bad Nenndorf players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Åsbro Flåsegutter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patric Molander to maneuver through the defense. Walter Gustavsson was a little too slow when Joseph Hasenjäger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-5. Mosche Ritschel had several of the Åsbro Flåsegutter's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-6 score and a disappointed Walter Gustavsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ladislaus Veith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patric Molander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ladislaus Veith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tage Wennerlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Martin Molin charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Molin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Joseph Hasenjäger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Walter Gustavsson. That made the score 1-7 in the 83 minute of play. Walter Gustavsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joseph Hasenjäger showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-8 in the 93 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched VfL Bad Nenndorf eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
