The crowd rose to their feet as Olds School Pepo's Mauro Eleder slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alejo Gaspard. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Edelmiro Sesuldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florencio Sancho went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute, Ernesto Pepillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Eleder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Gaspard having to interfere. Alejo Gaspard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Oskarbi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Luganeros AFC's Leonides Laurin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edelmiro Sesuldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 43rd minute Eloy Oskarbi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eloy Oskarbi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Eleder was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ernesto Pepillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edelmiro Sesuldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Laurin in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Olds School Pepo booed when Luganeros AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Sendoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejo Gaspard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Eleder, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alejo Gaspard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Eleder's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Laurin in the 65th minute of play forced Olds School Pepo's goalkeeper Edelmiro Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejo Gaspard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Oskarbi in the 76th minute of the match. When Ariel Sanchez fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luganeros AFC's protests and gave Ariel Sanchez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Luganeros AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Sanchez to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Luganeros AFC's Gilberto Domenec got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Olds School Pepo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
