The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Tabachana F.C. getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. After 14 minutes Tabachana F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jim Belloir who took care of the corner kick. Jim Belloir made a great header on Rathmore Lime Tree's corner, it was just that Tabachana F.C.'s Tilemachos Manouselis managed to reach the ball for a save. After 19 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Paul-Henri Gayraud. Rathmore Lime Tree's Sofyane Valognes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aggelos Apostolidis in the 20th minute of play. Paul-Henri Gayraud hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Karim Cosme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tilemachos Manouselis. That made the score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. The supporters of Tabachana F.C. booed when Rathmore Lime Tree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Belloir didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Giannis Tzougarakis threw the ball into play from the sideline. Rathmore Lime Tree's Paul-Henri Gayraud quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 40th minute of the match Paul-Henri Gayraud shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tilemachos Manouselis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Jim Belloir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rathmore Lime Tree's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim Belloir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karim Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tabachana F.C.'s Tilemachos Manouselis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Cosme in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Rathmore Lime Tree's Georges Labarthe was substituted for Paul-Henri Gayraud. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karim Cosme made a kick off. Karim Cosme might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tilemachos Manouselis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
