Olympiacos FC's Fondas Kalantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herman Falkrantz in the 15th minute of play. Fondas Kalantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andréas Lustig in the 19th minute of play. Alexis Dellios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes Elmtaryd Agunnaryd got a freekick which was hit by Herman Falkrantz. John Brandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Tziolas in the 30th minute of the match. Sven-Ove Berggren took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fondas Kalantas. Fondas Kalantas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Theofilos Touboulis kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's Kurt-Jürgen Hamrin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fondas Kalantas. Fondas Kalantas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Kostas Tziolas made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Olympiacos FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Theofilos Touboulis hit a great ball. Elmtaryd Agunnaryd made a substitution. Edmund Trulsson replaced Ted Kiempe. The supporters of Elmtaryd Agunnaryd booed when Olympiacos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position.
