The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Stefan Landin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Austin was relentless in the 2nd minute of the game. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by 【E ➣Soldados De Sabella's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hjalmar Brodin was slow to take the kick. During this time Brothers of Mercy's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Brothers of Mercy's Hjalmar Brodin to fire away a dangerous shot which Enrique Austin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. August Frykberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Rey in the 10th minute of play. Victorio Ermengol's late challenge caught a Brothers of Mercy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorio Ermengol helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21stth minute of the game Clodoveo Rey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brothers of Mercy's August Frykberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. August Frykberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Marques's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Santos Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 【E ➣Soldados De Sabella's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brothers of Mercy the free kick. Santos Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Brothers of Mercy got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Göransson. In the 32nd minute of the match Victorio Ermengol shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but August Frykberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 39 minutes, Wiktor Jespersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brothers of Mercy and the 【E ➣Soldados De Sabella players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of 【E ➣Soldados De Sabella booed when Brothers of Mercy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiktor Jespersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, 【E ➣Soldados De Sabella's Santos Velasco tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Stefan Landin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enrique Austin came out and tried to block the shot, but Stefan Landin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 44th minute. Vicente Chucho kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when 【E ➣Soldados De Sabella was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Chucho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Johan Söderberg scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Austin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. August Frykberg was a little too slow when Vicente Chucho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 65th minute of the match, Abel Marques got a very nice opportunity to score, but August Frykberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 70 minutes into the match, Clodoveo Rey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of August Frykberg, 2-2. 【E ➣Soldados De Sabella's Lino Nisio was substituted for Inocencio Evarado. If Vicente Chucho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes 【E ➣Soldados De Sabella got a freekick which was hit by Santos Velasco. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Clodoveo Rey managed to get in a good position for a shot. 【E ➣Soldados De Sabella's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodoveo Rey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Frykberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brothers of Mercy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Vicente Chucho scored to the left of an out of position August Frykberg, making the score, 2-3. After some careless play in the Brothers of Mercy defense, Clodoveo Rey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of August Frykberg. The Brothers of Mercy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Frykberg should have stopped the shot.
