Waldemar Moczkiewicz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgar Jarocewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Mesquita having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincenty Waselewicz in the 43rd minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafim Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mafia Koniaka getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Slawomir Lipinski hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Mafia Koniaka defense, Ramiro Rosado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldemar Moczkiewicz. The Mafia Koniaka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldemar Moczkiewicz should have stopped the shot. Waldemar Moczkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Arósio in the 83rd minute of play. Serafim Mesquita made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Edgar Jarocewicz sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Mafia Koniaka's Wincenty Waselewicz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serafim Mesquita. That made the score 2-2 after 89 minutes of play. 93 minutes into the match, Mafia Koniaka's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Rosado came free, but Waldemar Moczkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafim Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachariasz Kaszubik in the 95th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Várzea F.C. failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
