Matthias Odeen's late challenge caught a Jataiense Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthias Odeen helped the player get up and apologised. When Cláudio Torres was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. Cláudio Torres hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The Jataiense Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Jataiense Futebol Clube's Wellington Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
