The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Freddy Sarracino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Elazar in the 32nd minute of the match. Benedicto Otoniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Agüero in the 38th minute of the match. Benedicto Otoniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Omero in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Club Atlético Escocia getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Narciso Sauveur hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Escocia defense, Sergio Agüero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedicto Otoniel. The Club Atlético Escocia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedicto Otoniel should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Beturian was the one to do the kick off. Freddy Sarracino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Beturian in the 55th minute of the match. Guillermo Iago took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedicto Otoniel. Benedicto Otoniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Freddy Sarracino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Beturian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Club Atlético Escocia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Lapurdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Scaloneta's Sergio Agüero got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 74 played minutes, Club Atlético Escocia's Anibal Rainerio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Freddy Sarracino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Escocia reached it. Benedicto Otoniel made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Ernesto Frasco sent off a good shot on target. Sergio Agüero took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedicto Otoniel. Benedicto Otoniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Prudencio Polo got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Elazar in the 83rd minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Freddy Sarracino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Beturian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Escocia's Marcos Beturian got a free kick in the 90th minute. Baltasar Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
