Marcos Beturian hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Harald Inger made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ernst Schnur. Natalio Oliveiro kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Carlos Lapurdi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Escocia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Evelio Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. Benedicto Otoniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Möhn in the 85th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Club Atlético Escocia's Narciso Sauveur seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Narciso Sauveur the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Atlético Escocia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Narciso Sauveur had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 95 minutes into the game, one of Club Atlético Escocia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sydney FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
