Club Atlético Escocia's Narciso Sauveur was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andre Zurbuchen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 25th minute, Philipp Junod made a precise shot to the right of Benedicto Otoniel. Club Atlético Escocia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Baltasar Elazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Beturian came free, but Andre Zurbuchen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andre Zurbuchen came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Escocia's Marcos Beturian. But to his dismay, Marcos Beturian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freeman Mächler in the 36th minute of play forced Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Benedicto Otoniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Marcos Beturian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Zurbuchen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedicto Otoniel came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Espen Steelers's Freeman Mächler. But to his dismay, Freeman Mächler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Philipp Junod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Beturian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 5-1 became the score in the 51st minute when Hans Pasquino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Benedicto Otoniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenan Vinciguerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedicto Otoniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harrison Muntwyler in the 58th minute of the match. Espen Steelers's Harrison Muntwyler managed to work through Club Atlético Escocia's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Harrison Muntwyler dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Club Atlético Escocia's Benedicto Otoniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Pasquino in the 60th minute of play. Espen Steelers made a substitution. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Lapurdi couldn't finish the play.
