Freddy Sarracino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernst Schnur's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Freddy Sarracino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kees Plappert in the 22nd minute of the match. La Scaloneta's Guillermo Iago got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sydney FC's Pierre Möhn suffered a sore thigh after 27 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Sydney FC's Jaden Krieglmeier was substituted for Pierre Möhn. In the 28th minute, Prudencio Polo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kees Plappert to strike the kick off in the second half. Freddy Sarracino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Schnur in the 51st minute of play. Prudencio Polo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Guillermo Iago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Sarracino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaden Krieglmeier, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. La Scaloneta's Salvador Eneas was substituted for Braulio Abarca. Sergio Agüero kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 67 minutes, Guillermo Iago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Scaloneta and the Sydney FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Florian Guderian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Iago in the 69th minute of the match. Sydney FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team.
