Spectators: 8001 (Terracing: 6002, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reinaldo Teles started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reinaldo Teles got free with Benedicto Otoniel in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute Ricardinho Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Otoniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute of the match, Reinaldo Teles got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benedicto Otoniel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 8th minute, Celestino Jaen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 minutes Cactos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Narciso Sauveur who took care of the corner kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Reinaldo Teles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benedicto Otoniel. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Escocia defense, Lenílson Rodrigues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedicto Otoniel. The Club Atlético Escocia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedicto Otoniel should have stopped the shot. Marcos Beturian kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Ricardinho Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Otoniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenílson Rodrigues in the 28th minute of play. Reinaldo Teles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Benedicto Otoniel made a huge save. If Marcos Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Reinaldo Teles came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Cactos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Teles couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Club Atlético Escocia booed when Cactos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Sauveur struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Germano Bezerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Escocia. 42 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Teles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Benedicto Otoniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Atlético Escocia's Benedicto Otoniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Rodrigues in the 46th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Beturian made a kick off. After 59 played minutes Club Atlético Escocia got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Ladio. The supporters of Club Atlético Escocia booed when Cactos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germano Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Elazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Fabinho Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabinho Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Atlético Escocia booed when Cactos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Otoniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Teles in the 83rd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Escocia's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Teles came free, but Benedicto Otoniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Otoniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The supporters of Cactos booed when Club Atlético Escocia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Elazar didn't get a good kick on the ball.
