Glentown FC were furious when Henric Forsberg was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Henric Forsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Tommy Kvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Mantzio in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Jens Ahlén was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glentown FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Lorenzo de Sarandi the free kick. After 6 played minutes Glentown FC got a freekick which was hit by Jens Ahlén. Tommy Kvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Florian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Mantzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicanor Florian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jens Ahlén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Zeledon Hitz made a huge save. Zeledon Hitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Strömberg in the 24th minute of the match. When Per Strömberg fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glentown FC's protests and gave Per Strömberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of San Lorenzo de Sarandi booed when Glentown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Strömberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeledon Hitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Strömberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lino Ofelio hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The supporters of San Lorenzo de Sarandi booed when Glentown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Ahlén didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Daniel Mantzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes Glentown FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Söderberg. When Cesar Ritchie came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the San Lorenzo de Sarandi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Ritchie couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicanor Florian to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicanor Florian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tommy Kvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Nicanor Florian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Lorenzo de Sarandi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melquiades Amor during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to San Lorenzo de Sarandi getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Melquiades Amor hit a great ball. If Jens Ahlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Lino Ofelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes Glentown FC got a freekick which was hit by Gösta Beckström. 72 minutes into the match, Glentown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Florian came free, but Tommy Kvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With splendid footwork Nicanor Florian arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-2 by the left pole in the game's 74th minute. After 87 played minutes San Lorenzo de Sarandi got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Transito. If Nicanor Florian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The San Lorenzo de Sarandi players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
