Ab Veenema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Lägdin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Jesper Lind hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brain Diest's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viktor Wallin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 13th minute Brain Diest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Wallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when Nusnäs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orvar Andberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Lägdin got free with Ab Veenema in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes in the game, Orvar Andberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ab Veenema having to interfere. The supporters of Nusnäs IF booed when Ágætis Byrjun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taco Westerink didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Nusnäs IF defense, Brain Diest kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viktor Wallin. The Nusnäs IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viktor Wallin should have stopped the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Orvar Andberg came free, but Ab Veenema reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Nusnäs IF getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. George Ersman hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Buys to make the kick off. Sven-Åke Thidén kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Edgar Buys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Wallin having to interfere. Viktor Wallin was a little too slow when Edgar Buys got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Ax in the 62nd minute of play forced Nusnäs IF's goalkeeper Viktor Wallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Edgar Buys took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Viktor Wallin to make any attempt to save it. Brain Diest did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Viktor Wallin 67 minutes into the match. Viktor Wallin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Buys in the 72nd minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, one of Nusnäs IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Viktor Wallin, was totally fooled by Ágætis Byrjun's Edgar Buys, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Viktor Wallin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Buys, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. George Ersman charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Ersman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 played minutes Nusnäs IF got a freekick which was hit by George Ersman. Viktor Wallin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Boukjan Schalkwijk. Robin Willemsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viktor Wallin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Sven-Åke Thidén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Nusnäs IF's Viktor Wallin got control of the ball when Robin Willemsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orvar Andberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ágætis Byrjun had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
