Spectators: 8078 (Terracing: 6060, Seating: 1858, VIP seats: 160) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Odysseus De Souza took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximilian Buser to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Apolzan in the 6th minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Max Sevier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th match minute, The Valar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Burtea to maneuver through the defense. In the 13thth minute of the game Odysseus De Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Valar's Mădălin Rotariu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, The Valar's goal looked a bit too open when Matteo Gartenmann came free, but Mădălin Rotariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mădălin Rotariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matteo Gartenmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mădălin Rotariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matteo Gartenmann in the 26th minute of the match. Odysseus De Souza took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mădălin Rotariu. Mădălin Rotariu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. FC Lugano's Tiziano Gamache was substituted for Matteo Gartenmann. After 32 played minutes The Valar got a freekick which was hit by Mugurel Seţeanu. Guido Emennegger was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 35th match minute, The Valar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorel Joja to maneuver through the defense. Guido Emennegger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mădălin Rotariu. The Valar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mădălin Rotariu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiziano Gamache went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Mădălin Rotariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Diederich, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Odysseus De Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mădălin Rotariu. The Valar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Odysseus De Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudiu Becheanu to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiziano Gamache got free with Mădălin Rotariu in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mădălin Rotariu was a little too slow when Florian Diederich got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-4. Florian Diederich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mădălin Rotariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mădălin Rotariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tito Waechter in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, The Valar's Mădălin Rotariu got control of the ball when Tiziano Gamache tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudiu Becheanu took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Max Sevier. Max Sevier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Mădălin Rotariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odysseus De Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Valar's Mădălin Rotariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiziano Gamache in the 76th minute of play. Mădălin Rotariu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Odysseus De Souza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 79 minute of play. FC Lugano's Fidelio Haller was substituted for Fedor Adler. In the 84th minute, Tiziano Gamache left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Lugano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. In the 87th minute, Odysseus De Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Max Sevier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Marin in the 96th minute of the match. Max Sevier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horea Marin in the 97th minute of play.
