The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matteo Gartenmann took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dacian Lixandru. Dacian Lixandru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 6th minute Jovan Markovič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Sevier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Fidelio Haller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lugano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- the free kick. In the 14th minute, Fidelio Haller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute of the match Cristian Maleș sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Max Sevier skillfully saved the ball. Dacian Lixandru was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Florian Diederich showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. Max Sevier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jovan Markovič in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Matteo Gartenmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gigel Novac came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigel Novac couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Florian Diederich managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Florian Diederich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dacian Lixandru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The FC Lugano fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when FC Lugano's Matteo Gartenmann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Max Sevier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jovan Markovič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Max Sevier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Ene in the 38th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Diederich to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavius Lung made a kick off. Flavius Lung received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Max Sevier came out and tried to block the shot, but Flavius Lung slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 55th minute. Dacian Lixandru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiziano Gamache in the 59th minute of play. FC Lugano's Tiziano Gamache managed to work through F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tiziano Gamache dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The supporters of F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximilian Buser didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Flavius Lung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Tiziano Gamache made a precise shot to the right of Dacian Lixandru. F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. A collision led to F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Cătălin Pintea hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Tiziano Gamache had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dacian Lixandru. F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiziano Gamache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. A collision led to FC Lugano getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Maximilian Buser hit a great ball. In the 71st minute of the match Cristian Maleș sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Max Sevier skillfully saved the ball. Max Sevier made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Flavius Lung sent off a good shot on target. 6-1 became the score in the 75th minute when Odysseus De Souza elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Flavius Lung kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiziano Gamache in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dacian Lixandru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiziano Gamache took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dacian Lixandru. Dacian Lixandru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. Constantin Ene kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Dacian Lixandru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiziano Gamache in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Maximilian Buser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lugano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- the free kick. In the 95th match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximilian Buser to maneuver through the defense. F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
