After 11 played minutes, Charmander City's Bernardino Gaur shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulão Negri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Charmander City reached it. Paulão Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Valery in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Clemente Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charmander City the free kick. Evaristo Garikoitz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulão Negri. CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Inocencio Anaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson Berger in the 19th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Charmander City got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Romano. In the 23rd minute, Luís Gustavo Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulão Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Ermano, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Saverio Ermano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paulão Negri firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 30th minute, Leo Tome reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulão Negri. The goal made the score 1-0. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Charmander City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Garikoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Charmander City's zone, Luís de Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Anaya came out of the goal and Luís de Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Paulão Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Indalecio in the 41st minute of play. CE LAJEADENSE RS were furious when Adilson Montenegro was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Charmander City booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardino Gaur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
CE LAJEADENSE RS's Paulão Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Ermano in the 57th minute of play. Paulão Negri came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Charmander City's Fabio Valery. But to his dismay, Fabio Valery quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Paulão Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Indalecio in the 61st minute of the match. In the 69th minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Raimundo Gonçalves dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. When Armando Avellaneda fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charmander City's protests and gave Armando Avellaneda a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, one of Charmander City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Charmander City. Inocencio Anaya had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Luís Gustavo Teles's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Paulão Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Valery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guilherme Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guilherme Loureiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. After 88 played minutes, Charmander City's Severiano Incendio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulão Negri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Charmander City's Leo Tome got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Raimundo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the game, Bernardino Gaur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Charmander City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick. In the 97th minute, Bernardino Gaur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Charmander City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
